On Nassau County’s North Shore, this hamlet bordering Brookville and Roslyn, is part of the Roslyn and North Shore school districts, and is within close proximity to two of Long Island’s prestigious colleges: the C. W. Post campus of Long Island University and the New York Institute of Technology. While a crossroads of the North Shore, there is a residential feel to this community, but also offerings of several restaurants and shops, such as the upscale Wheatley Plaza center.
